Horner is confident Hamilton will intervene in the fight

At Imola, Lewis Hamilton was disappointed that he would not be able to compete for the title this season. However, the head of Red Bull Racing, Christian Horner, is confident that Mercedes will solve the problems with the car, after which Lewis will intervene in the fight between Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc.

Christian Horner: “Obviously Lewis had a terrible weekend, but he’s eight-time…no, seven-time world champion! I forgot Nico Rosberg’s title.

Lewis has not forgotten how to drive the car in the last four races. At some point, Mercedes will fix problems with the car and Hamilton will intervene in the fight. With all this, Max and Charles are doing a great job.”

Christian Horner added that Red Bull Racing did not give much importance to Verstappen overtaking Hamilton by circle at Imola: “Lewis didn’t have the best weekend and we were focused on our own race and trying to earn maximum points.

At that point, when Max overtook him for a circle, we looked more at the sky, trying to understand if it was going to rain in the last laps or not. All our attention was focused on this subject.”
