Norris: The Qatar circuit suits us better than Vegas

The battle for the championship title is over for Lando Norris, but McLaren continues to fight for victory in the constructors’ championship. The lead over Ferrari has been reduced to 24 points, but the Woking team is confident that it will return to victory in Qatar, as the characteristics of the Losail circuit are more suitable for the MCL38 car than the city circuit in Las Vegas.

Lando Norris: “I’m looking forward to returning to Qatar. Last year the stage went very well for us, and this time we want to perform even better. In addition, the final sprint stage of the season awaits us and we will try to earn as many points as possible.

The team is fully focused on achieving results in the final two stages of the season. We like the track and weather conditions in Qatar better than in the last stage, so I am curious to see what results we will achieve. There are two races left – let’s do it!”

Oscar Piastri: “Qatar is next. I’m happy to be back at this track for another sprint weekend. Last year I won the sprint here and I am curious to see what result we will achieve this time.

There are still two stages to go until the end of the season and we know what we have to do. This weekend we have to perform stronger than in Las Vegas, so we are ready to keep working and do our best in the battle for the Constructors’ Championship.”

Andrea Stellateam manager: “After a difficult weekend in Las Vegas, we are heading towards the penultimate stage of the season. The weather conditions and track in Qatar are suitable for our car, so we are ready to make the most of all opportunities, especially in the sprint, where extra points are awarded.

Our goal of winning the Constructors’ Championship remains unchanged and the competition is fiercer than ever. There are three teams competing for the title, so every point counts. We remain focused and will do everything we can to get the job done.”
