German pilot Mick Schumacher will leave the team “Mercedes” at the end of the 2024 season, reports the press service of the Formula 1 team.
The 25-year-old was a reserve at the German team for two years, and before that he competed in Formula 1 for Haas for two seasons.
In 2024, Mick Schumacher also competed in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) for Alpin.
“It’s hard for me to just watch these cars race without being able to sit in the cockpit myself. I want to fully concentrate again on continuing my racing career. Ultimately, every driver wants to compete; it’s racing that allows you to experience these emotions that are so dear to you,” said the pilot.
Mick Schumacher is the son of seven-time Formula 1 champion Michael Schumacher.
