Sergio Perez insists he will continue driving for Red Bull Racing in 2025, despite recent statements from Christian Horner and Helmut Marko that a decision on the team’s line-up will be made after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
When Sergio was asked at the FIA press conference in Qatar whether he was 100% sure that he would start behind the wheel of Red Bull Racing next season, the Mexican driver replied: “Yes, exactly. The ideas of people who are not on the team and do not work with us on a daily basis are far removed from reality.
Due to the difficulties I have encountered in recent months, I have not been able to get out of the car 100%. This is the main problem and you have to go through this period. The team understands this and we are working as hard as we can to resolve these issues.
The team has all the information. And there’s a reason why my contract was extended during the season. The team knows exactly where we stand in terms of speed, problems and difficulties.
We are a team and know exactly what the situation is inside. We are working as hard as we can to get back to our best form and move away from the form we have shown this season.”
