Seven-time world champion driver “Mercedes” Lewis Hamilton admitted he was inferior this season George Russell to his teammate.
Hamilton is seventh in the overall standings (211 points) with two races remaining in the season. Russell is in sixth position (223). Red Bull’s Max Verstappen is in the lead (404).
“I know I can still win, but at the moment I’m too slow. I lose half a second per lap on my partner, but our cars are the same. This happens all year round. Is it possible to change anything? Certainly not at the moment,” quotes Hamilton, according to Autosport.
On November 30, Hamilton took sixth place in qualifying for the Qatar Grand Prix. Russell showed the second time. The Qatar Grand Prix will take place on December 1.
