Max Verstappen lost his first starting place at the Qatar Grand Prix due to a penalty

Red Bull racer Max Verstappen has been fined one post following the investigation into an incident during qualifying for the Qatar Grand Prix.

Verstappen won qualifying, but blocked the Mercedes driver late in the race. George Russell . Stewards conducted an investigation and ruled that Verstappen did not deliberately block because he was in a warm-up lap and moving at his own pace. However, he prevented Russell from completing qualifying and was therefore given a minor penalty of one grid position.

Thus, Verstappen will start the Qatar Grand Prix from second place, and Russell from first. The race will take place on December 1 at the Lusail International Circuit in Doha.
