Where and how the riders rested in August

The second part of the season is likely to be an even more intense battle than the first 13 races, requiring all championship entrants to relax and regain their strength. That’s what the August break is for.

However, it is coming to an end: the next stage, the Belgian Grand Prix, starts in Spa in a week and in general it is already clear where and how the riders spent their well-deserved summer holidays.

We wrote about Lewis Hamilton traveling through Africa, through the land of his ancestors. The seven-time world champion is one of the few who, through social networks, has told fans in sufficient detail about his impressions and shared his enthusiasm, having visited several countries – Namibia, Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania.

George Russell, his Mercedes teammate, opted for a quieter holiday on the island of Mallorca. However, there he not only relaxed, but also found time to train to stay fit – all this will come in handy in the upcoming races.

Charles Leclerc has also opted for a holiday in the Mediterranean, but on board his new 48 Dolceriva, worth two million euros. The vessel was spotted off the south coast of the island of Corsica. Carlos Sainz was also photographed at the helm of a boat, but probably somewhere closer to Spain’s territorial waters. In addition, he enjoyed riding a flyboard – a surfboard with a motor. It turned out that the Ferrari driver didn’t do very well at first, and he splashed into the water laughing, but then flew over the surface much more confidently.

Approximately in the same region of the planet, but near the island of Sardinia, Fernando Alonso rested, and he also mastered a new yacht. The Sunreef Power Eco is a very electric boat, which makes Leclerc’s boat look less luxurious. And here on board there is generally everything, including simulators necessary to maintain physical fitness.

By the way, Esteban Ocon, the Spaniard’s partner in Alpine F1, also sent greetings to the fans from Sardinia.

Pierre Gasly has been choosing Greece for a number of years: on the Greek islands you can really relax in August, so the French racer AlphaTauri went there again with his family. Moreover, he was so imbued with the Hellenic spirit that he now asks to be called Petros in the local way.

But it seems Max Verstappen stayed in Monaco – during the days of the Hungarian race weekend, however, he promised to spend his holidays at home. At the same time, the reigning world champion continued to actively train, and as proof posted a photo taken during a run on social networks. However, judging by the photos and videos shared by his girlfriend Kelly Piquet, the couple spent a lot of time and a good summer vacation.

Alex Albon decided the best way to tell about his holiday program was a series of photos taken in Northern Ireland on the golf course of the elite Galgorm Castle Golf Club. It is worth adding that he was there in the company of his girlfriend, Chinese golfer Lily Mooney.

Valtteri Bottas didn’t change his habits and went with Tiffany Cromwell, his Australian cyclist girlfriend, to America, where he toured the state of Wyoming and also, like last year, participated in a bike race that took place along the gravel trails of Colorado.

However, the pair have already returned to Europe, where this weekend in Finland, in the homeland of the Alfa Romeo racer, will be held the traditional duathlon, which he has been organizing for over a year and of course participates in it.

Daniel Riccardo also likes to relax over the ocean, so he traveled to various US states where he found various activities for himself including golfing, plowing the United States with a pickup truck, singing his favorite songs along the way and just relax , sunbathe and swim in a pool. At the same time, from the outside it doesn’t seem at all that he is overcome with troubling thoughts regarding his future in Formula 1.
