All is not lost for Charles Leclerc.

This Sunday the Formula 1 teams will start at the Belgian Grand Prix and after the summer break everyone will get to work with renewed vigor. In addition, many had to work thoroughly with the mistakes, and that applies especially to Ferrari.

The season got off to a great start for the Scuderia, but equipment reliability issues, tactical miscalculations and driver errors mean Red Bull Racing confidently leads both standings of the championship. And this despite the fact that the Ferrari F1-75 is considered the fastest car in the championship.

Max Verstappen is 80 points ahead of Charles Leclerc and this is quite a gap that can still be bridged, but purely theoretically, as 234 points have to be played over the remaining nine races. Maranello understands that if they fail to turn the tide and Verstappen continues to win at the same pace, he could already take his second title in Singapore.

Of course, Leclerc will do everything to prevent this. One of the Monegasque’s strongest qualities is its psychological stamina. Now he has next to nothing to lose and can afford to act as aggressively as possible on the track, squeeze everything out of the car and give it the very best.

If he manages to win in Belgium – and experts believe this track is great for Ferrari – it will give him extra energy, and he will start the Dutch Grand Prix with the most fighting spirit. If all goes well in Zandvoort as Leclerc needs, he will receive the strongest support from the typhosi on September 11 in Monza. How important this is, Charles recalls from 2019, when he was able to take on Lewis Hamilton on the classic Italian circuit.

You can remember the words of the Ferrari driver, he said in Hungary: he then said that if he won all the remaining races, he would get the title, even if Verstappen finished second. On the one hand, the probability of such a scenario is small, on the other, other than zero. Sebastian Vettel won all races that took place after the summer break in 2013 and with it his fourth title.

In theory, the Leclerc machine allows you to repeat that German feat. Charles won in Austria, he was in the lead in France, but he made a mistake himself. In Hungary he was also in the lead, but Ferrari opted for a strange tactic, and yet he certainly had a chance of success.

In addition, Charles’ team-mate Carlos Sainz has been on the rise lately, scoring regularly and scoring more points than Verstappen’s team-mate Sergio Pérez in the previous four races. If Ferrari can make wise use of the Spaniard’s speed capabilities in their tactical formations, it will help Leclerc very well too.

In any case, the main condition for success for the Scuderia and its leading racer should be to increase efficiency in all aspects of the job. There should be no problems with the reliability of equipment, especially the power plant; The team’s strategists should act more clearly, thoughtfully and boldly and Leclerc should take an example from his main rival: Max Verstappen is fantastically consistent and makes almost no mistakes.

If Maranello could take steps to fulfill all these requirements during the summer break, the title battle will continue until the season finale – this is what not only Ferrari and Leclerc, but also the championship organizers and the fans need . And it makes no sense to guess how events will develop in Abu Dhabi. We know from history that anything can happen on this track.
