Bernie Ecclestone denies tax allegations in court

We have already discussed the claims of the Royal Revenue and Customs Service of Great Britain to Bernie Ecclestone. The former Formula 1 executive has been accused of deliberately failing to declare his foreign assets and paying taxes on more than £400million.

On Monday, August 22, a short meeting took place at the Westminster World Court in London, where Ecclestone denied all charges against him during a 10-minute speech. Magistrate Paul Goldspring felt that the powers of the Westminster Court were insufficient to hear the case and transferred it to Southwark Crown Court, where the hearings will continue.

After the decision was made to transfer the case to a higher court, the magistrate released Ecclestone on bail. Bernie, accompanied by his wife Fabiana, walked through the crowd of reporters to a white Range Rover Sport and left without saying a word.
