Daniel Ricciardo’s future in Formula 1 looks rather uncertain, with persistent rumors that McLaren will decline his services and Oscar Piastri, his young and promising compatriot, should take the Australian’s place.
In this situation, Riccardo’s management is negotiating with the team management about a very solid financial compensation for the early termination of the contract, but the rider himself seems to deliberately give the impression that all this fuss doesn’t really bother him.
Of course, it can be assumed that he has such an easygoing character that he does not take to heart what is happening, but most likely it is something else. Either he actually gets a multi-million dollar fine, or he knows that other teams are seriously interested in his services. Most likely both, and once there is clarity in Riccardo’s relationship with McLaren, he will sign a new contract immediately.
And there may be several options, including quite unexpected ones. No one could have foreseen Fernando Alonso’s move to Aston Martin, but now it’s a fact, sealed by a contract designed for at least a few years. Let’s not guess though, especially since the situation should clear up soon enough.
Meanwhile, Daniel continues to tell fans how much fun he spent his American vacations and today he shared on his YouTube channel a funny video dedicated to the story of how he tasted local street food in Los Angeles. To be precise, chicken burgers, and choosing the spiciest versions for their test, stuffed to the extreme with hot pepper and other spices.
As befits street food, Riccardo did not consume it in an institution, but part on the go, part in the fresh air, for this he drove his luxury McLaren sports car into the Hollywood Hills.
There he set out boxes of “delicatessen” bought from three different places, right on the hood of an elegant sea-green coupe, and got to work. A street food expert, Daniel tasted all three versions of the dish in turn, talking about the sensations during the tasting.
All the comments boiled down to the fact that “then I feel bad, but that’s only later”, as was sung in a once popular song. Granted, it was about pasta.
At the same time, Ricciardo did not care that such a perfect work of car design as the McLaren 765LT, which costs about $ 358 thousand in the United States, strongly contradicts boxes of burgers filled with peppery chicken stuffing on the hood .
Although he most likely started this very consciously, expressing in such a special way his attitude to the situation he was in because of his employers. However, if his results in 2022 were at the level of his McLaren teammate, Lando Norris, he might not have to taste street food now.
It’s worth adding that during the gastrotest, Daniel made a reservation that he rarely allows himself to break his diet so openly and even referred to his coach, Michael Italiano, to assure him that he allowed it. Meanwhile, the video is rapidly gaining views, in just half a day their number has exceeded 50 thousand…
