Lirim Zendeli will replace Oliver Caldwell in the Campos Racing car for the upcoming Formula 2 race at Spa. Forced substitution – Caldwell earned 12 penalty points, causing him to miss the Belgian stage.
Lirim Zendeli: “I’m very happy to be behind the wheel of a Formula 2 car again. It’s been a year since I drove in Formula 2, but now I’m looking forward to the experience ahead. love the track at Spa – last time I talked about it in Formula 3 and won.
It won’t be easy to replace Oliver, but I’ll do my best to find the limits of the possible as soon as possible. I also want to thank the Campos team for trusting me – I will do my best to get a good result.”
In 2020, Lirim Zendeli finished eighth in Formula 3 at the end of the season. Last year the driver finished 17th in Formula 2, after which he stopped speaking in the youth series due to funding issues. In 2022, Zendeli replaced David Schumacher at the Formula 3 race in Barcelona.
