Formula 1 boss admits Belgian Grand Prix will remain on calendar in 2023

Formula 1 manager Stefano Domenicali has not ruled out the Belgian Grand Prix retaining its place on the calendar for next season, according to Autosport.

Previous media reported that the start of the season is scheduled for March 5 in Bahrain, the championship will end in December in Abu Dhabi. In 2023, the French Grand Prix and the Belgian Grand Prix will lose their place on the calendar.

— I never said that we were going to Belgium for the last time. I will be careful with this comment. It is true that we are negotiating with other promoters. We are still discussing the combination of races with the hope that we will be at least a third of the stages in Europe, along with the Middle East and America. We want everything to be balanced.

Of course, we are talking about business, where investments and financial contributions are very important. But we have always said that we respect the traditional races, which cannot bring in as much money as some others. Negotiations with Belgium are still ongoing, — quotes Domenicali Autosport.

The Belgian Grand Prix for the 2022 season will take place from August 26 to 28.
