Lance Stroll and Sebastian Vettel set the fourth and fifteenth fastest time in the second practice of the Belgian Grand Prix. Aston Martin has assessed the day’s results positively and expects to earn points.
Lance Walk (4th): “Good day – lap times look promising. We tested all tires and were fast on all slippery compounds.
We don’t know what the weather will be like tomorrow, so it’s hard to say where we will be in qualifying, but I hope we can fight for the points this weekend.”
Sebastian Vettel (15th): “It’s always great to fly in Spa – even today, when the weather changes all the time. In the second session there were problems – I didn’t feel confident behind the wheel, but I have no doubt that tomorrow will be better.
Most of the training took place on a dry track and today it was important to understand the car. In the evening we will analyze the telemetry – I am sure we will take a step forward tomorrow.
