On Friday, not everyone could figure out the tires – it rained every now and then, it was difficult for some to put the tires in working mode on cold roads, others complained of rapid wear, so the training program on Saturday turned out to be intense.
Racers took to the track from the first minute, only Ferrari missed the first 25 minutes. The asphalt was covered with a layer of used rubber, the grip improved – the cars skidded much less than the day before. For most riders, the session started with a long series of laps, which could not be completed yesterday due to the rain.
After six laps, Mick Schumacher returned to the pits due to problems with one of the sensors – for him the session was over.
In the 52nd minute Charles Leclerc flew into the gravel – the car jerked on braking in Turn 12, lightly hit the barrier – and returned to the pits under his own power. The session was halted for a few minutes by red flags to clear the gravel from the sidewalk. At the last minute, after inspecting the car, Leclerc left again.
Sergio Pérez took the lead with a lap time of 1:45.047.
