Daniel Ricciardo took seven of his eight wins behind the wheel of Red Bull Racing. At the end of the season, the Australian will be fired from McLaren due to dissatisfaction with his results. At the Spa, Christian Horner spoke to his former driver and shared his impressions on Sky Sport F1.

Daniel is one of the best in our sport. He has all the necessary qualities. But now he is completely demoralized. We used to see him on stage with a boot in his hands, with a big smile on his face, but now there is none of that.
I hope he gets the chance to continue his career. I think it is better for Formula 1 to have such a driver than not to have one. Think of some of his races with our team, where he won Monaco with 50% engine power. He showed stunning results and spoke on an equal footing with Vettel and Verstappen.
