Just 300 kilometers from Spa to Zandvoort, Alpine F1 Team Principal Otmar Szafnauer hopes that luck will not leave the team this weekend…
Q: How do you rate the results of the Belgian Grand Prix?
Otmar Safnauer: We had a good weekend, finished fifth and seventh, earned sixteen points. I was very pleased with the collective effort, teamwork and cohesion over the weekend.
Both riders did an excellent job. become one of the best over the weekend, demonstrate speed and a high level of skill. Our mechanics made the fastest pit stop of the race – congratulations on this achievement. In this area we have worked hard and we will continue to improve so that the pit stops are not only fast, but also stable.
Q: How has the team prepared for the second leg of a three-race series at the Dutch Grand Prix?
Otmar Safnauer: Last year the Dutch Grand Prix was a highlight and brought something new to the calendar. First of all, this is a great race for fans who create a fantastic atmosphere. It will be interesting to see what will improve from last year.
Last season we saw an interesting fight in Zandvoort. Our aim is to fight for the points and achieve the same if not better result than last week in Belgium, securing fourth place in the Constructors’ Championship. The end of the season is still a long way off. It is important to perform strongly and consistently.
