Sergio Perez admitted he still isn’t quite comfortable behind the wheel of the Red Bull RB18 car, but he continues to work with the team to catch up with his partner.
Sergio Perez “Of course I understand that the car doesn’t quite suit me, and on Tuesday we worked with the team on the simulator and tried to analyze in detail everything that happened last weekend. I really hope we can take another step forward to fight for the win in Zandvoort.
Max Verstappen and I have a slightly different approach to car settings, and he is definitely more comfortable behind the wheel than I am. The team is preparing new updates for the Singapore Grand Prix, but plans to upgrade the RB18 are constantly evolving and we will continue to introduce certain new items at each stage of the season.
In the Netherlands, Mercedes and Ferrari will definitely be closer to us than in Spa, they will be more competitive, so I expect the battle to intensify noticeably.”
