Minutes after the publication of the Contract Recognition Board decision confirming the benefit of Oscar Piastri’s contract with McLaren, the team announced its line-up for the 2023 season.
The Australian Formula 1 debutant has signed a multi-year contract to replace Daniel Ricciardo at McLaren and become teammate Lando Norris.
Oscar Piastric: “I am very happy to make my Formula 1 debut with the renowned McLaren team and thank them for their trust. This team has given many talented young drivers a chance and I look forward to working with Lando to take the team to the top of the grid. I am fully focused on preparing for my Formula 1 debut in 2023.”
