Alex Albon entered the second part of the Dutch Grand Prix qualifying, in which he set the fifteenth time. His Williams teammate Nicholas Latifi qualified 20th due to technical issues with an overheated engine.
Alex Albon (15th): “The day went well. Taking into account the characteristics of the track and our difficulties in reaching the second part, we did a good job.
I am happy with my circle in the first part. We didn’t expect to make it to the final, but the whole team put in a lot of effort.
In the second part I lost control of the rear of the car a bit, lost some time in several places, so I was disappointed with the fifteenth time. We’ve improved quite a bit from Friday, so we can expect to regain a few positions tomorrow.”
Nicholas Latific (20th): “There were technical problems in qualifying, the cause of which we are continuing to investigate. On the first fast lap I got a few warnings on the handlebars and started to lose power. On the second attempt I had to break the lap because the problem recurred.
The situation is not ideal – we have had problems all weekend, but we managed to take a good step in the right direction. It’s a shame I couldn’t do a fast lap, but that’s how it is in motorsport.”
