Max Verstappen won the Zandvoort qualifying for the second year in a row, albeit by a narrow margin: he was just 0.021 seconds ahead of second-placed Charles Leclerc.
Max Verstappen: “Winning pole at home is great! Especially after what happened yesterday, because we had a hard time in training, but together with the whole team we tried to turn the tide and we succeeded.
Today our car is fast again, although a very tight battle unfolded during qualifying. And yet we were able to get the fastest lap on this track – it’s cool!
But to achieve this we had to adjust a lot of settings, because yesterday for the second practice it was rush to assemble the car (after gearbox problems), but today it was nice to fly again!
