We have already said that the FIA is in no rush to publish the calendar for the 2023 Formula 1 season until agreement is reached with all race promoters. On Tuesday, however, one of the versions of the new seasonal calendar appeared in the German press, giving a global picture of what to expect next year’s participants in the World Cup.
As expected, the calendar will be the longest in history, featuring 24 stages. The preseason starts on March 5 in Bahrain and ends on November 26 in Abu Dhabi. The calendar has one new race – in Las Vegas, and two stages returning after a break of several years – the Chinese Grand Prix and the Qatar Grand Prix.
Two series-built stages are planned for the new season. The first includes races in Imola, Monaco and Barcelona, the second – Austin, Mexico City and Brazil. It’s also interesting that two American stages (in Austin and Las Vegas) are a month apart, and the Miami race in early May is different from other North American grands prix.
