The Formula 1 calendar for the 2023 season has not yet been presented, but information about the dates of certain Grands Prix is gradually leaking to the press.
As Racingnews365 was able to find out, the Dutch Grand Prix next year will not be held in the first weekend of September, as in 2022, but a week earlier. A slot has been reserved in advance for the race in Zandvoort from 25 to 27 August 2023. This shift will in turn lead to a new date for the Belgian Grand Prix. The race in Spa is expected to take place before the summer break next season.
In previous years, at the end of August, the provisional calendar for the next season had already been announced, but current FIA President Mohammed bin Sulayem wants to present the calendar once and immediately in order to avoid the appearance of races marked “further confirmation required” in them.
It is believed that the Formula 1 calendar for 2023 has not yet been formed due to uncertainty about holding the Chinese Grand Prix. Formula 1 wants to hold a race in Shanghai in April in conjunction with a round in Melbourne, Australia, and race promoters in China are pushing for a fall lock to avoid a potential cancellation due to local authorities extending domestic and international travel restrictions due to Covid-19.
The calendar for the 2023 season is not expected to be presented before a few weeks.
