Hamilton and Bottas start from last positions at Italian Grand Prix – media

Bottas will receive his sixth engine this season. During the Dutch Grand Prix last weekend, the Finn was forced to retire. The pilot’s internal combustion engine failed.

Like last year, the Finn faces the start of the Italian Grand Prix from the last line of the starting peloton.

Bottas’ former Mercedes teammate Hamilton will receive his fourth engine of the season. Thus, he will exceed the authorized quota and will also start the race at the very end of the starting grid.

Hamilton’s engine was damaged in a collision with Fernando Alonso (Alpin) at the Belgian Grand Prix. At the same time, in the Netherlands, the engine was not changed on Hamilton’s car.

Hamilton in the individual standings is in 6th place with 158 points, Bottas is 10th (46). Max Verstappen of Red Bull is in the lead (310).

The Italian Grand Prix will take place from September 9 to 11 in Monza.
