Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton expressed his condolences to the family of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain and posted a heartfelt message on social networks.
“How do you find words to describe the loss of Her Majesty? Lewis Hamilton wrote. “She was a cult leader and an inspiration to many, if not all of us.
After yesterday’s sad news, I thought about her incredible life. She was a symbol of hope for so many and served her country with dignity, selflessness and kindness. She was like no other and I am grateful to have lived in her time. Her legacy will be long, and we mourn her loss with deep sorrow.
I had the incredible honor of spending time in her company – I will never forget it. We spoke to her about her love for dogs and she was incredibly generous with her time.
I know that the entire nation and many in the world mourn her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones who have lost a loved one. Rest in peace”.
