Charles Leclerc first went to the ballpark

You can’t talk about the popularity of baseball in America, it goes without saying, but in Europe this game doesn’t have that many fans – in the old world, football is probably the most loved. Charles Leclerc also occasionally enters the football field, although he evaluates his playing skills rather self-critically.

But we can certainly say that his attitude to baseball is even more complicated, although it cannot be ruled out that the Ferrari racer will now show an interest in this sport, because yesterday in Miami he took part in a training session with the local Miami Marlins -club.

Apparently Charles did it out of habit not so good.

“This is my first experience!” he admitted honestly. In general, it turned out that catching the ball with a special glove worn on the left hand is not so easy. However, this is not that important, because Leclerc’s participation in training sessions with the club’s baseball players, who occupied the second line in the classification of the Eastern Division of the National League, was purely symbolic.

As well as the traditional jersey swap with Bahamas resident Jazz Chisholm, a Miami Marlins player. By the way, Chisholm was not chosen by chance: since he once played for the British national team, he managed to fall in love with Formula 1.

It should be added that the Marlins were unlucky in yesterday’s game, losing to the Arizona Diamondbacks club by a score of 4:5.
