Aston Martin sporting director Tom McCullough rejects all suggestions that Sebastian Vettel’s work attitude has changed somewhat after the four-time world champion announced his imminent resignation.
“I’m not ready to accept this because Sebastian is a true top-class professional,” said McCullough. “Perhaps his soul has calmed down now, but I don’t see any manifestations of that, neither in meetings with engineers, nor in the way he controls. If we talk about his attitude to business, he still works like a machine.
It has been a real pleasure for me to work with Sebastian for the past 18 months – he has a very thoughtful approach and is well versed in technical matters. He has given a lot to the team, his experience has influenced both our working method and our vision in general.
He is a very inquisitive person, it is very interesting to communicate with him, but he also understands well what needs to be done to raise the morale of the team. I really enjoy working with Sebastian and look forward to working with him in the final races of the season.”
