The race show that Red Bull’s special field team put on in Belgrade today attracted many spectators – despite the rainy weather.
Two RB7 cars on a makeshift track along the central streets of the Serbian capital were released by David Coulthard and Austrian Patrick Frisacher, who spent 11 races for Minardi in 2005 and has recently teamed up with Red Bull and mainly participates in demonstration races.
As the track ran through the streets, partly paved with paving stones, which was also wet from the September rain, it was very slippery and David and Patrick were unlikely to be able to accelerate much, but it was initially clear that the public was unlikely to anticipate high speeds.
Spectators at such shows are close to the track, the fencing of which is very conditional, but on the other hand, the roar of classic naturally aspirated V8 engines could be fully enjoyed. In addition, spinning “donuts” on such a track is even easier, which is what the audience loves the most at such shows.
