Athletistic/ Formula-1. Australian Formula 1 driver Daniel Ricciardo has shared his thoughts on when Dutchman Max Verstappen became the master of the Royal Races.

“He proved his fast riding skills in 2016, if not earlier. But two years later I remember how in the first four or five races he had a lot of crashes and a lot of blunders. Max has quickly found a way to solve this problem and I think 2018 was a key year, when Verstappen became a real man, and that helped him make significant progress on the track,” said Ricciardo.

Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen played for the Red Bull team from 2016 to 2018, until Ricciardo moved to Renault. Daniel Ricciardo’s highest achievements are third places in the 2014 and 2016 Formula 1 championships.

Max Verstappen is the 2021 Formula 1 world champion and current season leader. With 335 points after 16 races, Verstappen is 116 points clear of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc (219 points). Daniel Ricciardo, who has represented the McLaren team since 2021, after 16 Grands Prix takes 14th place in the drivers’ table, with only 19 points to his credit.
