General Producer Alexander Taschin has spoken about the decision by wrestling organization WWE and Formula 1 management to terminate contracts with the TV channel for broadcasting in Russia.
Which agreements have been terminated? There were only two. WWE wrestling tournaments sent an email notification – and they had such a right by contract. Formula 1 and there, partly on a formal basis: there were nuances with the payment – F-1 did not have the necessary documents, and they tried to use the non-payment as a reason to leave the agreement, which we contested.
Then they decide to leave Russia definitively: cancellation of the Sochi Grand Prix, rupture of relations with the promoter Rosgonki. And there the penalties in England came in time – this, in fact, became the main reason for the termination of the contract. With the rest, the agreements were only suspended, – Taschin quotes the “Championship”.
