On Wednesday, Jerez kicked off three-day Formula 3 testing in Spanish after the season ended. The best time of the day in the morning session was shown by the Hitech team’s newcomer Gabriele Mini.
In the morning, Mini already led the protocol in the first hour of the session, ahead of Sebastian Montoya, who returned to the wheel of Formula 3 after a successful debut on the Zandvoort podium. Then José-Maria Marti and Kaylen Frederik improved the result. of the Mini, but the Italian rider still stopped the first time, having completed the lap in 1:30,500 seconds.
The session was interrupted by red flags three times – first Kaylen Frederik got stuck in the gravel in Turn 6. The second time the tests were stopped after the Mini took off in turn ten – the Italian driver damaged the car on the protective barrier. The third time, the red flags appeared ten minutes before the end of the afternoon session, when Montoya had already collided with a protective barrier in the same tenth corner.
After an hour’s break, the riders continued on the track. The afternoon session was also full of red flags – Roberto Faria crashed into the gravel in Turn 8, Emmo Fittipaldi, Hunter Yini and Alessandro Famularo crashed into Turn 10. The best time at the end of the session was shown by Kaylen Frederik.
A Belgorod native Nikita Bedrin, trading under an Italian racing license, showed the twentieth time in the morning session and fifteenth in the afternoon.
