Canadian Formula 1 driver Nicholas Latifi and Williams will stop cooperating at the end of the 2022 season, according to the British team’s press service.
Latifi made his Formula 1 debut at the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix and has competed in 55 races so far.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at Williams – the assemblers and those I have worked with on the track over the past three years. My Formula 1 debut has been postponed due to the pandemic. Together , we did not achieve the results we hoped for, but it was still a fantastic trip.
Scoring the first points in Hungary last year was a moment I will never forget. The next chapter of my career will start with special memories of my time with the team. I know none of us will relax until the end of the season,” 27-year-old Latifi said.
This season, Latifi hasn’t scored any points and is 21st in the drivers standings.
