But then the Bavarian car manufacturers only talked about the car, and now the BMW M Motorsport racing division, together with its American partners, made a bright presentation in Los Angeles, where the car was shown “live” already in full war paint, and the presented the composition of the team with which the 24 Hours of Daytona will start on the last weekend of January next year.
Curiously, the 2023 BMW M Team RLL factory drivers will be joined by Colton Herta, whose name has been in the motorsport press in recent weeks, albeit in a very different context. He will be the new teammate of Connor de Phillippi, Augusta Farfus and Nick Yelloli.

The BMW Hypercar is powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 engine integrated with the ERS hybrid system standard in the LMDh class. Behind the test program in Europe on the tracks of Italy and Spain, and passed the first test in the US just a few days ago at the track in Sebring.
In October and December, BMW will also participate in the official IMSA testing at Road Atlanta and Daytona, with the next scheduled for next week at Watkins Glen.
