Ferrari hosts historic car race for the fifth time

Ferrari is very proud of the history of their brand and tries to bring more attention to this topic, not limited to a few museum exhibitions, although they are also regularly organized.

Maranello wants on the one hand to continue this glorious history, on the other so that the technology created in the past lives on today.

An unusual race called the Ferrari Cavalcade Classiche (Ferrari Classic Cavalcade) ended this weekend in Italy – it was held for the fifth time, collecting 65 old cars from different years of production. Their owners, along with their unique technique, came from all over the world in the region of Trentino-Alto Adige, in Northern Italy, and drove along the route, which passed through the picturesque landscapes of the Dolomites.

While Ferrari calls this event a race, it’s actually more of a parade or run of old cars that lasted three days. The cavalcade stopped in several towns through which the route passed, allowing the local public and lovers of historical technology to look at the masterpieces created in Maranello over different years.

It is worth remembering that in 2022 the legendary brand will be 75 years old: the first car built by Enzo Ferrari left the gates of a small factory in Modena in March 1947.

Among the cars that took part in the Cavalcade Classiche were such legendary models as the Ferrari 166 MM (1948), the Ferrari 212 Inter (1951), the Ferrari Dino 246 GT (1969) and the F40, created in 1987 for the 40th anniversary of the Brand.

Considered one of the most exclusive events of the Maranello company, this event is attended only by owners of historic cars who have received a special invitation. During the days of the Cavalcade Classiche, they actively communicate, share their experiences and have something to say to each other, because they are united by a passionate love for the Ferrari brand.
