Video: Mercedes motorhome tour

Formula 1 leaves Europe, all remaining races take place across the seas, oceans and the Italian Grand Prix was the last leg in which the championship teams used their usual motorhomes.

These are quite unusual if not unique builds, and Mercedes have prepared a short tour of their three-storey motorhome so you can get a general idea of what it is, as well as understand why Formula 1 teams love their mobile homes so much. .

The tour starts on the first floor, where the common area is located, including the function of the catering unit.

“It’s always busy here and the staff responsible for staff catering, as well as those who work in the guest area, go above and beyond to ensure team members are fed and able to work as efficiently as possible – like Formula 1 cars.

Let’s take a look at the kitchen. During the race weekend, 80 kg of meat, 60 kg of fish and vegetables are consumed here for cooking – all this is intended for our employees. Today, for example, the menu includes a back of lamb, delicious salads and desserts – for those who want it.

Camper weighs 136 tons, it is made up of modules: the first floor consists of 16 modules, the second is also composed of 16 modules, and the third – of four.

The team management is located on the second floor, but various meetings are also held here. The motohome equipment is controlled from a tablet via a wireless network. We can control the operation of air conditioners, the climate system, while the electricity is generated by two large generators located outside.

And here’s Toto Wolff’s personal office, but we can’t go there because he didn’t invite us. But you can look into the room where the team drivers sign souvenirs. Look, here are copies of seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton’s helmets, and then he’ll be signing them. There are also various souvenirs intended for particularly important guests and team partners.

This is where the administration is located, as well as specialists in logistics, marketing, employees responsible for receiving guests. Their work must be carefully planned and it all takes place in this room.

And now let’s look at the Sunny Terrace, where we receive important guests – it is located on the third floor. If you belong to this category, if you are a partner of our team, you can also be invited here. Lunch or dinner can be served on the terrace, where we serve various drinks. A contract signing can also take place here.

Just imagine how nice it is to sit on the terrace during the days of the race weekend with its busy schedule and enjoy everything that is offered to you. And if you’re really lucky, you might even be served a glass or two! ..”
