Leclerc: In the remaining races we prepare for 2023

Six races before the end of the season, Charles Leclerc is 116 points behind Max Verstappen in the individual standings. In Singapore, the Ferrari driver even admitted that the title battle is over for him, and in the remaining grands prix the team will focus on preparing for the 2023 season.

Charles Leclerc: “This time we had a two-week break before the round in Singapore, where we could deliberately prepare for the race. I trained in the sauna to get my body used to the high temperatures you have to deal with in the cockpit.

It is crucial to pay attention to every little detail. This is of course important in every stage, but in Singapore it is necessary to keep the mind clear in the closing laps of the race, when the body becomes increasingly fatigued. This is one of the challenges we face on this track – one of my favorites, along with Monaco and Baku.

We want to add something to the race – every time we have to combine the potential of the team and the machine. If we succeed in doing this, we get the expected results, but we don’t always succeed.

After the summer break, Red Bull took another step forward in terms of competitiveness. This season we are usually competitive in qualifying, but in races we have lost points for various reasons. If we want to achieve more next year, we must strive for excellence. We want to use the remaining six races of the season to prepare for next year.”
