Epic Games co-op shooter Fortnite is taking Halloween seriously this year after introducing festive outfits, including two spooky Jack O'Lanterns and the returning Skull Trooper skin. Several more Halloween-themed skins have leaked online ahead of the v6.10 patch update, indicating further updates for the game.
According to the Fortnite leaks Twitter account FNBRLeaks, the latest patch includes Halloween outfits named Spider-Knight, Arachne, Guan-Yu, and Onesie. The leak also features matching gear, including Arachne's Back Bling, Long Legs, the Spider Knight's Spider Shield, and Guan-Yu's Loyal Shield.
Fortnite data miners found data suggesting a vampire skin may be released this month. In terms of design, Spider-Knight resembles The Ashen One from Dark Souls III, while Arachne looks like a character from Overwatch. Guan-Yu wears golden attire following the style of Wukong, the Monkey King, while the Onesie skin features a Durr Burger pattern.
Upcoming Horror Outfits and Release Dates
Data miners @Hypexleaks and @ShiinaBR searched the game data for upcoming horror-themed designs. They discovered a male vampire costume called Sanctum, which comes with a Coven Cape back bling. Developers have not added a female counterpart, though a female Vampire skin called Dusk previously appeared in the Season 6 Battle Pass.
While Epic Games has not confirmed when the outfits will launch, VGR expects the release around October 24 to coincide with the latest Fortnite patch. The potential vampire skins cap off a spooky month that previously leaked scarecrow outfits Hay Man and Straw Ops, as well as Scourge skins found in the v6.02 patch data.
Demand for the in-game designs extends beyond the digital title. According to data from the Google Blog, Fortnite skins are the most popular Halloween costumes for 2018, beating out contenders such as Spider-Man, Harley-Quinn, and Pirate.
