Epic Games has revealed a new set of challenges for week 3 of Fortnite season 6. The tasks range from visiting specific map locations to eliminating opponents across multiple matches and hitting other players with a thrown object from a set distance.

The free challenges include reviving a player in five different matches, searching a chest in Lonely Lodge as the first stage of a multipart challenge, and getting an elimination using a Damage Trap. The Battle Pass challenges include visiting Risky Reels and Wailing Woods in the same match as a first stage, hitting a player with a Tomato from 15 meters or more, completing three timed trials rated as hard, and eliminating opponents across ten different matches.
Reviving players and finding the Lonely Lodge chest
The revive challenge is best tackled in a 50 vs. 50 match. Reviving more than one player in a single match does not add extra progress toward the challenge, since only the first revive in each match counts, until players reach the required five.
The Lonely Lodge chest challenge may draw heavy competition on the day it launches, so waiting until later in the week could make it easier to complete. Players need to travel to Lonely Lodge, search the chest there, and follow the directions it gives to the next location.
Damage Trap eliminations and visiting two locations
The Damage Trap elimination challenge can take time and often comes down to luck. Players should look out for traps, then deploy them inside structures during the endgame, in spots where enemies would not expect to find them, particularly hard-to-see or awkward structural spots.

The challenge to visit Risky Reels and Wailing Woods in the same match is also easiest in a 50 vs. 50 match, which reduces the risk from enemy players. Depending on the Battle Bus route, players should head to whichever of the two locations is closer to their landing spot first, aiming to finish the challenge early in the match.

Hitting players with a Tomato
The Tomato challenge looks harder than it is, since throwing a tomato at a teammate also counts. Players need the tomato emote, which unlocks at tier 28 of the Battle Pass, and can then team up with an ally or join a 50 vs. 50 match to throw tomatoes at each other. According to early reports, the challenge can also be completed by throwing tomatoes in the game lobby before boarding the Battle Bus.

Timed trials and multi-match eliminations
Timed trials have returned for week 3 of season 6 and can be found at four spots on the map: just north of the rocket silo northeast of Snobby Shores, on the western side of a bridge southeast of Shifty Shafts, on the western edge of Tomato Temple, and just south of Tilted Towers near the shack on the hill. Players activate the trial and run the course before time runs out, and will likely need to build ramps or clear obstacles along the way.

The final challenge, eliminating opponents in different matches, is listed as hard but is fairly simple in practice. It requires eliminating ten opponents across separate matches, a task that takes a long commitment of time but should not pose much trouble, especially for experienced players.
