NHL Seattle introduced a new mascot, which was a sea troll

National Hockey League clubSeattle Kraken ” on its official website featured a mascot, which was a sea troll named Bui.

It should be noted that the process of creating a club mascot took two years in Seattle and included internal research, external assistance and focus groups.

The creators of Buoy were inspired by the Fremont Troll, a large sculpture located under the George Washington Memorial Bridge in Fremont, one of Seattle’s neighborhoods. The 32-year-old city landmark is visited by hundreds of thousands of people each year.

“We are proud to introduce Bui the Troll and celebrate another milestone for the Kraken. We are rooted in the local community and everything we do is inspired by the wonderful place where we live. Bui was not only inspired by the Fremont Troll, but is also a huge fan of the Seattle music scene,” Seattle marketing manager Katie Townsend was quoted as saying by the club’s press office.

Last season marked Seattle’s NHL debut. According to regular season results, the Kraken finished 15th in the Western Conference with 60 points and did not qualify for the playoffs.
