The seven-page document with hundreds of names of young players is divided into four categories. The first is “A”, for hockey players who can be drafted in the first round. Three of the Russians received it: the forwards Daniel But (“Locomotive”), Matvey Michkov (SKA-Neva), as well as defender Mikhail Gulyaev (“Omsk Hawks”).
Category “B” (second-third rounds of the repechage) was received by forwards Roman Kantserov (“Steel Foxes”), Denis Malov, Timur Mukhanov (both Omsk Hawks), Egor Rimashevsky (MHK Dynamo Moscow), Alexander Rykov (“Chelmet”), Dmitry Simashev (Lokomotiv), Kirill Svishchev (Mammoths of Yugra), as well as defenders Mario Patalaha (MHK Dynamo Moscow) and Ivan Remezovsky (SKA‑1946).
The 61st NHL Draft will take place June 28-29, 2023 in Nashville, Tennessee.
