Athletistic/Hockey. Tampa Bay Lightning forward Stephen Stamkos shared his emotions after beating the Toronto Maple Leafs in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
“It was one of the most difficult series for us. The Leafs are a great team. It’s just very difficult to go to the end. The problem is psychological. We didn’t win because Toronto didn’t deserve it. They deserve it,” Stamkos said.
In a series of seven matches for four victories, the score was fixed at 3:3 after six fights. Everything was decided in the seventh game, in which “Toronto” was the host, but “Tampa” still put pressure on their opponents and won by a narrow margin – 2:1. The goal was scored by Morgan Reilly (34′) for the Leafs and Nick Paul (19′, 37′) scored twice for the Tampa Bay.
