Detroit defeated the Islanders in the NHL game, goaltenders Varlamov and Sorokin made 23 saves for two

Detroit Red Wings “conquered”New York Islanders in an NHL regular season home game.

The game in Detroit ended 3:0 (0:0, 2:0, 1:0) in favor of the hosts, in which Lukas Raymond (27th minute), Puce Zuter (33) and Dominik Kubalik (51) scored goals).

Islanders goalie Semyon Varlamov stopped 22 of 24 shots. In the second period, Varlamov was replaced by another Russian goalie, Ilya Sorokin, for eight minutes. Sorokin missed a puck with two shots on his own goal.

Detroit has 14 points and is fifth in the Eastern Conference, while the Islanders (14) are a line behind.

In the next game, Detroit will play on the road with the New York Rangers, the Islanders will face the Calgary Flames at home.
