Fu and Pu punished: two Kunlun players violated discipline and were removed from the team

Head Coach “Kunlun” Greg Ireland said after the match against Salavat Yulaev (1-4) that disciplinary measures had been applied to two of his players.

– Is it true that you withdrew three of your players from the squad for educational purposes for the match against Spartak (3-1)? They are Parker Fu, Devin Brosso and Clifford Pu. And now they played with Salavat Yulaev (1:4).

“Of course it’s true! They broke team rules. And I have an answer to those who violate discipline. My job as a coach is to change the culture of the team, to make the right decisions in the right place. I hope the players have understood my message. Their return to the match with Salavat Yulaev was very good. And I expect them to always play like that. I hope they have learned their lesson.

And I’ll correct you – Brosso was not involved in this incident. He didn’t go out with Spartak, not because we brought him up. It was only related to his game. As for the rest of the guys… They are an important part of our team, and I hope we avoid such nasty moments in the future.

– What did they do? Are you drunk? Or a bit like being a minute late for a team meeting?

— I have an Enkhaelian approach to discipline. And breaking it in my eyes isn’t just about going to all kinds of parties and drinking booze, but also more subtle times. However, I will not cite a specific reason. I’ll leave that for the indoor kitchen. And I believe that the players and I will focus on the working moments without being distracted by anything else.
