Kamensky on Grishin in Spartak: “It’s a good plan for the future to educate young people. The vertical must work”

Advisor to the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Moscow Hockey Club “Spartacus” Valery Kamensky believes that the appearance of Igor Grishin in the technical staff of the Red-Whites is a good idea for the future.

Grishin is the head coach of Voskresenskiy Khimik, Spartak’s farm club in the VHL. On Thursday, Boris Mironov was fired as head coach of the Rouge-Blancs after a 6-game losing streak in the KHL regular season.

– What has gone wrong for Spartak lately?

– The attack failed. And we lost a lot in defense in martial arts, conceding offensive goals. Not enough strength, you will tell me.

– Igor Grishin from the “Chemist” of the Resurrection was promoted – he changes Mironov. Why was the agricultural club mentor bet made?

“Grishin knows a lot of young guys who performed at the farm club. He knows how to work with them and Khimik is now showing good results. It’s a good plan for the future to educate young people and reveal our talents. The vertical should work.

– The position of another adviser to the chairman of the Supervisory Board of Spartak is Alexei Zhamnov, who led the Russian team at the Beijing Olympics. Then the national team won silver. Didn’t you think about putting Zhamnov on the Spartak coaching bench?

– You have to ask the management, of course. But Zhamnov is always happy to help, to suggest. He is still with the team. Now it will be the same, and there it will be seen in the process.
