November 12 blue-yellow will play with Slovenia
Ukrainian national ice hockey team beat Italy in the first match Tamas Sharkozy International Tournament in Budapest.
Italy took the lead at the end of the second period after an accurate shot by Alex Petan. The Blue-Yellows bounced back in the 57th minute – Andrey Mikhnov converted the majority.
The fate of the meeting was decided in overtime – Oleksandr Peresunko’s puck brought victory to Ukraine.
In the next match of the group stage of the Tamas Sharkozy tournament, Ukraine will play with Slovenia. The match will take place on November 12.
Hungary, France and Japan play in the second group of the tournament. On November 13, the final, the match for 3rd place and the match for 5th place will be held.
In May, the team of Vadim Shakhraichuk took third place in the IB division of the World Championship, in which they will perform next year.
