Athletistic/Hockey. The National Hockey League Players Association (NHLPA) and the National Hockey League (NHL) have issued a statement regarding the postponement of the Ice Hockey World Cup.
“Over the past year, the NHL and the NHLPA have been working on plans to host the next World Cup of Hockey, the first international ice hockey tournament between the best, in February 2024. Unfortunately, under the conditions current conditions, it is not possible to host the World Cup of Hockey at this time.
We continue to plan the next Ice Hockey World Cup and hope to hold it in February 2025,” the NHLPA said in a statement.
The Ice Hockey World Cup was founded in 1996. Canada is the defending champion.
