– The coach said that our hockey players did not show collective play in the match against Kazakhstan. Is it because you don’t have enough international meetings?
— I think any player should rally quickly. Because sometimes we don’t have time. And if you’re a pro, you should be able to do that.
Regarding team interactions, we will move from game to game. Today we won like this, but we will play better in the next game.
– What is your physical condition? You have just arrived from the Far East – and immediately on the ice.
– Now it was a difficult trip for me, because Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Novosibirsk. But if you are put in the team, you have to give your best 100%, play to the maximum. Because the fans are coming, and for them you always have to be 100% ready. You have to show your best hockey. And then, if something goes wrong, you won’t prove to anyone that the start was difficult. Nobody cares. You have to go to every game and play for the fans, for the country, for yourself, for the team.
“Is this your first trip to the Far East?”
– No, I was with the youth team.
How to prepare for such trips?
– Yes, actually the flight was not so difficult. Because the team staff has prepared everything for this. There were special compression pants, socks, it was easier to endure the flight with them. At the same time, we lived according to Moscow time, so there was not much difference.
How would you rate the game in 3v3 format?
– In general, this is my first experience in the 3v3 tournament. It’s an unusual format, and it’s very cool that they came up with it. Anyway, somewhere you have to deviate from the “5 by 5” format. And it’s a great way. Very spectacular hockey for the spectators. And for gamers, it’s very interesting to try something new. Everything is very cool, everything was very cool today.
