Goalkeeper New York Rangers Igor Shesterkin said he wasn’t in the best condition heading into the NHL regular season game with Arizona, noting he found his game after a lot of shooting in the first period.
The Rangers beat the Coyotes 4-1 at home on Sunday, Shesterkin, who made 31 saves, was named the game’s first star.
“Before the game, I wasn’t feeling great, but when I got about 15 shots in the first half, I woke up and tried to play my game. When I face more shots, I become more confident. I keep playing and start seeing all the shots, – NHL official website quotes Shesterkin.
This season, the Russian keeper has played 12 games, during which he saved 341 shots in total.
