Forward “New York Islanders » Jean-Gabriel Pajot thinks the guardian Semyon Varlamov made several important saves in the NHL regular season game against “Ottawa Senators noting the Russian’s excellent play.
The Islanders defeated Ottawa 4-2 on Monday. Varlamov stopped 36 shots.
“Ottawa had a good power play, but we were prepared, the guys fought hard. Lots of losses, lots of blocked shots, lots of fights we won and Varlamov was great in goal. He made some really amazing saves,” Pajo told the NHL website.
Islanders head coach Lane Lambert said the Russian goalie had an outstanding game.
In the current regular season, Varlamov has played six matches and won four.
