The tournament will be held in Marseille
Main coach Ukrainian national ice hockey team Vadim Shakhraichuk said that his team would take part in Eurochallenge. It will be held in Marseille, France.
“The French got the tournament that was previously held in Poland. We must thank the French federation that she herself came to us with a proposal that we come to them, and at their expense. We gladly accepted this invitation.”
“Moreover, later the French offered us to play one more additional match between them and our teams, which will not be included in the Eurochallenge standings. In the tournament itself, in addition to the national teams of France and Ukraine, the team of Poland will play. That is, in general, we will have three fights.
“It’s interesting that the tournament will take place in Marseille, not the hockey city of the south, where the French national federation is going to open a hockey center.”
In May, the team of Vadim Shakhraichuk took third place in the IB division of the World Championship, in which they will perform next year.
It should be noted that in November, the blue-and-yellows took part in the international tournament named after Tamas Sharkozy in Budapest. Shakhraychuk’s team got two wins in three matches and took the third place.
