“I have no grudge against Dynamo. Such matches are a great boost” – striker “Admiral” Chebykin

Offensive “Admiral” Nikolai Chebykin in an interview with a correspondent, he said that he had no grudge against Moscow “Dynamo” for last season when he was forced out of the club.

On Thursday, the Admiral beat Dynamo Moscow in the away match of the Fonbet KHL Championship (2:1). Chebykin scored an assist in the second guest scoring episode. In a recent match against the Blue and Whites, the striker also scored a goal.

– You scored points in two games against Dynamo. Is there anything personal in this?

– It’s just that the games add up like that, – Chebykin answers “”. – There is a great desire to win. Especially in games against his home team. For me, matches against Dynamo are always a great boost. I have no complaints for last season at Dynamo. It was not my decision. And in the end, I’m happy with the result.

– Admiral players act with a lot of confidence, without looking back at the status of the opponent. How do you do?

“It all depends on the game system. We are an ordinary work team with no pronounced leaders. Everyone tries, fights, and it gives a result.

– Your team is often criticized for playing defensively…

– The most important thing is the place we occupy in the table. If the defense game gives a result, then it suits us.

– “Admiral” has not climbed this high in the rankings for a long time. Do you feel confident enough to make a splash not only in the regular season, but also in the playoffs?

– All players set themselves the maximum number of tasks. It is wrong to reach a certain bar and then relax. We try to show our best hockey in every game. But it’s not worth talking about plans for the playoffs just yet. It will be too strong.

Chebykin started last season at Dynamo and scored six goals, but then moved to Spartak during the KHL championship, and this summer he signed a contract with Admiral.

The Vladivostok club is fourth in the Eastern Conference table.
